Meet the Creators
David D. Ruiz
Born in Lares, Puerto Rico and raised in Newark, NJ, David is the creative mind and co-author behind Meet the Tayberries. A lifelong artist and storyteller, he dreamed up Produce Hill as a celebration of family, identity, and the beauty of being uniquely yourself.
Aiyana Heart Ruiz
A writer from Newark, NJ and NYU Dramatic Writing graduate, Aiyana co-authored Meet the Tayberries with her father. She brings humor, warmth, and her own experiences as the eldest sibling into stories that inspire kids to love who they are.
Jada Rae Ruiz
Jada is the illustrator of Meet the Tayberries and alongside her father created the 5 main characters back in 2020. A graduate of MICA in Baltimore, she hopes her work sparks joy, imagination and pride in every young reader.
